Second Day in Budapest and Beyond

I'm not sure if this style of cruise is for me. The food is excellent and the people who run it do a fine job. There's just not enough spontaneity and a feel of exploration. It might be my long time interest in photography and discovering new places to shoot that's causing the disconnect of being able to enjoy it fully for what it is.

We were able to see a bit of Buda and some of Pest this morning during the tour.  Most of what we saw took place while riding on a bus. This makes it extremely difficult to get the shots that I would like to take but I can see how this is the easiest and quickest way to explore some of the city and learn about its history.

I should research some places to go out and do photography tours. I know they exist but are probably out of my budget range. In fact, there are at least a few that come to mind that I've seen advertised. It's settled. I will research and plan one of those out. Either in a group or just do one by myself. Mostly I need to wake up before dawn to shoot and spend the day exploring the area for places to take photos or do street photography.

Victoria in British Columbia is still top on my list of places I want to visit in North America. Most likely I'll plan a trip closer to home first and have some successes before planning a longer trip. Air bnb seems to be a good way of finding decent places or stay. Or perhaps couch surfing since I'll be going by myself and I'm not too bothered with meeting new people.

This blog entry's title should probably be changed but I am going to keep it as is. I know I have a tendency to change from topic to topic quickly but that's just how I am.

Well, until tomorrow.
